Input Validation

Every request is validated before processing. Empty, oversized, or malformed queries are rejected immediately — before they touch any system.

Comment Stripping

SQL comments are stripped before any analysis runs, closing the evasion technique where destructive commands are hidden inside comment blocks.

Multi-Statement Block

Any query containing more than one statement is rejected outright. There is no legitimate read-only reason to chain commands — so we block them all.

14-Keyword Blocklist

INSERT, UPDATE, DELETE, DROP, ALTER, TRUNCATE, and 8 more are blocked by a case-insensitive regex before execution. Every query also runs inside a READ ONLY database transaction.

Data Vault Bridge runs on any desktop operating system with Node.js 18 or later installed, including Windows, macOS, and Linux. Claude Desktop — the AI client it connects to — is available for Windows and macOS.
It works with any PostgreSQL-compatible database including Supabase, Neon, Railway PostgreSQL, and self-hosted PostgreSQL servers. If your data lives in Postgres, we can bridge it.
No. The bridge is read-only by design and physically cannot modify, delete, or alter your data. It runs four independent security layers — input validation, SQL comment stripping, multi-statement blocking, and a 14-keyword mutating command blocklist — before any query reaches your database.
Most setups are completed within 30 to 48 hours after you share your database credentials. The Business plan includes priority 48-hour setup. Once installed, no ongoing maintenance is required unless you want to add new tables.
You need Claude Desktop installed. A free Claude account may work, but Claude Pro ($20/month) is recommended for regular business use as it includes higher usage limits and priority access.
